Since 1985, when David and Jennifer Hatley began their service in Africa with one church plant in the bustling African estate of Dandora in Nairobi, Kenya. They have been "faithful with the little" and now God is giving them much, dramatically increasing their territory of ministry since 1985. Today CMIA operates: More than 250 (and this number is growing!) Kenyan-led Church on the Rock congregations. This church planting ministry has also crossed over into the African nations of Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Republics of Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania. Four Grace Children's Centre Orphanage Homes, which include campuses for both healthy and HIV/AIDS infected children as well as rehabilitated street boys. These homes currently care for more than 170 orphaned and abandoned children. Seven Church on the Rock Pre-Primary Schools, where children from poverty areas are prepared for primary school entrance assessment in a three year, free-of-charge program. CMIA also underwrites the COTR Reuben Primary School, an informal slum school of approximately 300 students, offering education as well as daily nourishment to slum children who would otherwise have had no access to primary education. A vocational tailoring school is also run at the same site, with selected graduating students having the opportunity to do practical training at the nearby ministry-run tailoring shop before going out into the work world. Church on the Rock Academy, located at CMIA’s headquarters compound in Langata, Nairobi, offering a full Kenyan pre-primary programme in addition to the Standards 1-8 Kenyan primary syllabus. COTRA has a present enrollment of 285 children. The Standard 8 year for Kenya primary students culminates with the November sitting of terminal exams that earn a child a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and determine his/her eligibility for various nationwide secondary schools. COTRA exam candidates have produced good results, finding places in highly ranked secondary institutions, and the school is ranked one of the top in the district for academic performance. A fully developed clinic and diagnostic laboratory, also situated at CMIA’s headquarters compound in Nairobi. The Langata, Nairobi Clinic & Laboratory, employing three, full time medical professionals, caters to the compounds more than 400 students, staff members and their families, in addition to serving the general public. The start-up and maintenance of both clinic and laboratory were made possible with grants received from California-based Medical Mission International. An international curriculum bible - training centre, in addition to church-based Bible training schools; partnership with Texas-based Global Advance for national and regional pastors' and church leadership training conferences; partnership with Washington-based Prisoners for Christ for ministry to Kenya's prison population. World Children's Fund-sponsored feeding stations in Dandora, Nairobi; Makindu, Kenya and Nairobi's Kibera Slum, currently providing meals to approximately 2,000 hungry children daily. Overseeing a ministry that is exploding in growth and outreach, the Hatleys, as prompted by the Holy Spirit, are diligently working to impact their part of the world for Jesus Christ. Faithfully committed in their relationship with God, they seek His guidance and trust in His provision daily. Faith is not simply a word but a lifestyle at CMIA, where both the Hatleys and their national associates are tireless in their efforts for the Kingdom.
  • Dominican Republic
Dominican Advance exists to give hope and a future to the people of the Dominican Republic who live hopeless and purposeless lives. We do this with faith in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We exercise our faith in three primary works: Christian education, microbusiness empowerment, and preaching and teaching the Lord Jesus Christ. * Child Sponsorship for Quality Christian Education. The heart of our vision is to provide a new future for individuals, families, and cities through education that imparts the life of Christ. No other path offers such solid promise of future success and service as that of Christian education. By matching impoverished children with generous, and prayerful sponsors and with certified Christian teachers, Dominican Advance opens the way for a brighter future.* * Christian Microbusiness Empowerment. Frequently referred to as "marketplace missions", microbusiness empowerment provides tools, training, and capital for qualified Christian entrepreneurs who demonstrate a desire and ability to start their own business. Dominican Advance is exploring ways to change the economic future for thousands of Dominicans. * Preaching & Teaching Christ. The Pensingers bring 30 years of experience in pastoring and training future pastors to their impact in the Dominican Republic. Future plans include a future missionary training center and ministering in Dominican pastors' conferences. * Colegio Evangelico Dra. Pastor Ramon & Theresa Montoya are the Pastors of N.A.N.A. Ministry and Iglesia En la Calle. They feed thousands of children and families every month, and they have brought just as many to a deeper understanding of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. They travel to Nogales Sonora Mexico every week to physically and spiritually feed the many people that are in need. They house 53 children with 18 volunteer adults in a total of 8 different homes. They feed these children daily to provide them with educational opportunities and skills to help them be influential and productive in society. We are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of the newest addition to the Nogales Dream Center called The Children's Dream Center. This Dream Center will have housing and education facilities for those in need. Follow us on FACEBOOK
